Wednesday Highlights

I had planned on getting out of the house yesterday and run a few errands, but you know how it is. You get preoccupied doing one thing, and then another, and then....you guessed it...another. And then hours have passed...and then it's the baby's afternoon nap time...and so the plans for the day end up getting scratched, because by the time she wakes up it will be 4 p.m. But it was a good thing that things didn't go as planned yesterday because Dele's sister was in a town for just a short time and she stopped over to see Ilah. She brought her niece this adorable "Dora the Explorer Music Player Storybook". She is going to LOVE it!!

Today was our day to get out! The weather was too nice to stay cooped up inside. So after Ilah ate her lunch, off we went! I snapped these photos on my phone of Ilah finishing up her spaghetti!

Funny girl!!.....

Our first stop was a surprise visit to see Daddy at work and get some quick kisses!....

And then it was onto a little shopping for Ilah! I spotted this cute little bunny shirt and thought it was a cute and casual play shirt for her to wear around Easter time.... It's been warming up here in Atlanta and the evenings will soon be switching from cool to warm so I bought Ilah a few short sleeve bedtime pj's....

I'm going to need to delve into Ilah's closet again soon and pack away all her 12 month clothes. Here's a casual little summer outfit that I bought her today....
And this little jean jumper was too cute to pass up!... I also bought her this adorable sleevless dress! Bright and flowery!....
After shopping was done, it was onto a little surprise for Ilah! I took her to a fun children's play center!

Ilah is a total social butterfly!! More than wanting to play with all the things they had there, her interest was more in meeting new little friends! The bigger kids were so kind as all Ilah wanted to do was follow them everywhere and copy everything they were doing. When I would hold Ilah back to give the bigger kids space, they all said, "It's ok, we want to see her do it!". Aw, so sweet! Although there was just a limited amount of things that Ilah could do there given her age, she still had lots of fun and I'm glad that we went and explored the spot together! I LOVE my girl!!
